Southern Arizona May 2024 Convening

Following the 2024 Summit, AZ XWN convened Southern Arizona watershed participants to delve deeper into on-the-ground watershed restoration issues of shared interest in the Upper Gila, San Pedro/Wilcox, Santa Cruz, and Colorado River/Lower Gila watersheds. Topics include:​

​

• Sustainable Funding and Support: Staffing, facilitation, coordination, project management, work crews, contractor directories.

• Compliance Solutions: Strategic and technical assistance related to permits and other regulatory requirements.

• Documenting Benefits: Communicating and documenting the effectiveness of watershed restoration methods​​​. 

 

Southern Arizona Convenings are also focused on collaborative grant seeking and project bundling.
